#KillBillC69 is making waves in the Senate. Yep – Suits and Boots made it into the Senate on TuesdayI thought you’d like to know that the work you are doing to help #KillBillC69 is making waves in the Senate. Yep – Suits and Boots made it into the Senate on Tuesday. Here’s how. Senator Grant Mitchell, who is sponsoring the Bill on behalf of the government, stood in the Senate two days ago to introduce the Bill and take questions. One of the questions came from Senator Pamela Wallin. Here is what she asked:
Well, we know where the emails have come from, right? Courtesy of you and the other 2,300 Suits and Boots supporters who have joined our campaign since September 10th. And Senator Wallin’s questions look familiar – see #2 and #3 on our Ten Reasons to Kill Bill C69: https://suitsandboots.ca/10- But in case you had any doubt that your efforts aren’t being noticed, Senator Mitchell quickly put that to rest. Here is part of his reply to Senator Wallin:
We know what document Senator Mitchell is referring to, don’t we? And it would indeed be great to see his information refuting our Ten Points, wouldn’t it? So, here’s an idea. Senator Mitchell was on our call list on Day One of our campaign, when we had 300 supporters. Today we have nearly eight times that number. What if we all made one extra call today – just before calling the three Senators below – to Senator Mitchell’s office, and ask him to detail his responses to our Ten Points? Or, simply tell him again, in case he missed it the first time, to simply #KillBillC69? Here, then, is Senator Mitchell’s contact info again, as well as today’s rotation of Senators to call in our campaign: |
