If you have to resort to real poison, try Orthene, it works really well just use it
sparingly. If you use a lot, the ants figure it out and want touch it, just spread it lightly around the mound and they will be gone in no time. I talked to a guy from Orkin
the other day and he told me about folks using too much and that was the wrong approach.
I read the label more closely and that is exactly what it says, use lightly. It is a
very fine powder so use gloves and watch the wind direction.
