Re: timeline for HDYS well to be drilledI think when it became obvious there was no reservoir rock and no pay in the main channel sequence HDYN elected to NOT set the 9-5/8" liner. This would let them reach TD and log the well in about 30 days. No need to lie about the start date, they simply abbreviated the drilling program when it became obvious the Fatala #1 was a dismal failure. Remember on drilling rigs, time=money, and for deep water drill ships time=a lot of money. |
