It is a relative comparison. For that matter the surface of the planet has nothing to do with it.But again just a relative comparison.
In your example of 1 million molecules there still is only 400 of which are CO2.
Which still would make it a SUPER molecule for all that is said it does.
Again we need to be pumping 400ppm CO2 in the stud cavities of our home so we can shut off the furnace and the AC. Free energy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The surface area of the earth has nothing to do with it. A
cu ft of air ( or any gas ) contains many more than 1,000,000 molecules
( 3 x 10^23 ) so 1 cu ft of air would contain a whole bunch of co2
molecules. Right? Any physicists out there? |
