Re: Elon Musk Reverses Course, Will Not Take Tesla Private
Of course he decided not to take TSLA private. Anyone who takes a look at the TSLA books and sees their debt ($11 billion and counting), modest vehicle sales, and the coming tsunami of competition would offer much less than $420 per share. There is such a thing as risk you know! I would not be surprized if any offer (VW?) was MUCH less than the $420 and it included EM stepping down as he is TSLA's biggest liability (e.g.how did SolarCity ever happen, mid-night tweets worse than Trump's, etc). As I mentioned previously the bond market has seen the dark clouds gathering and has priced TSLA debt accordingly.
