Tera, the technology back in early 2000s is completely different than today!!! May be microturbines are the almost same, but the batteries are completely different in terms of weight, capacity, reliability and of, cost!!! In ALL hybrid applications of the past with a "Capstone Inside" I think the problem was the battery. Today, after so many years and the wider acceptance of batteries in auto industry, I believe that Capstone has the know-how for a proper microturbine range extender with the right size of battery pack. I don't think that Kenworth, Peterbuilt or Cummins will ever promote microturbine range extenders because, simply, they want to sell internal combustion engines!!! Capstone needs to find a "craz" and determined guy, like Wright, in order to have something real and viable. Hope WalMart make the difference...
