Another AT&T Director Snaps Up Shares From Barron's Another AT&T Director Snaps Up Shares By Ed Lin Earlier this month, we reported that a total of eight AT&T (T) directors have bought shares on the open market, including some who haven't bought in years and some who are buying for the first time ever. Now a ninth director has taken the plunge. Samuel A. Di Piazza Jr., the retired global chief executive of PricewaterhouseCoopers International, on Aug. 8 paid $250,000 for 7,690 AT&T shares, or $32.48 each on average. Di Piazza bought 4,615 shares through his personal account and 3,075 shares through his spouse. He now owns 31,400 shares directly. AT&T didn't immediately respond to a request to make Di Piazza available for comment. The transactions represent the first open-market purchase of AT&T stock by Di Piazza, who joined the telecom's board in July 2015. We noted Monday that it might be time to buy AT&T shares. Apparently, nine out of AT&T's 13 directors agree with that sentiment. |
