Re: Oil Bulls Should Worry About a Trade War -- Barrons.com

The headline for this article is irritating.  Only the last two paragraphs talk about the trade war and those speak more in terms of a global economic slowdown or recession with no accompanying analysis.  How likely is WTI at $130 with shale oil & gas in the picture?  Hard to believe but not exactly unheard of.  Was it WTI or Brent that hit $147?  If that were to occur there could be a major bull market in oil producers that could even include the offshore drillers.  I only own XOM among the majors at present. Maybe time to be accumulating some of the oil majors?  Anyone for SDRL?  FRO?  Could be a real party... until the next recession hits Europe.  Perhaps Trump/GOP's big borrow/big spend budget is just an early, preemptive version of quantitative easing to avoid recession? The European Elite Ruling Class could finally be passing from the scene, leaving a mess for the hodge podge of populist/green/socialist/nationalist successors to deal with... not just immigration but also a recession.(?)
