Re: Response to keebon on freezing columns and rows
keebon - in Google Sheets, where I make most all of my spreadsheets one can most definitely freeze a limited number of columns and also rows. As you can tell, at your suggestion I am moving toward the ability to scroll within the last two spreadsheets that I posted to the Links section. Where I am stuck at right now is that the horizontal scroll bar did not come up when I made the necessary changes to be able to even effect the needed freezing. That problem has come up before by other people according to the Google Sheets help forums. I am now trying to dig into that forum and get help for my specific issue, i.e. a horizontal scroll bar doesn't show. Hopefully I will ultimately get it solved. In the meantime, I don't believe the SS is too wide to fit comfortably on a screen without requiring horizontal scrolling. Tell me if I am wrong about that as you raised the issue of horizontal scrolling! My screen is a very wide one as screens go, so I am not as aware of a horizontal problem as some other people might be. I remember that a long time ago Pinewoods Bear mentioned that my SSs in some cases were too wide! If and when I get the horizontal scroll bar problem solved, I will post a message to that effect.
