Received the ETP/ETE merger booklet for vote

Very explanatory and thorough content.

What interested me most was the section which spelled out the various pros and cons in ETP being absorbed into ETE. Biggest pro (to me) is the expectation that ETE (and indirectly ETP) will be a stronger company in many respects. Biggest con (no pun intended), besides the significant drop in yield for ETP shareholders, is that some high level corp heads may have interests not aligned with shareholders and the valuation not being fixed may leave ETP shareholders with less than expected, thus nullifying the "premium." (Also, the time frame for distribution increase is supposedly not until 2020.)

The yield on ETP has been higher than many other MLPs and I knew one day, that advantage would end. Couldn't identify a strategy to maximize gains, so I simply continued holding ETP shares and will accept the merger. I don't like many of the scenarios layed out in the con arguements, but can understand the reasons for the merger as listed in the pro arguements.

Maybe I am greedy to have desired a higher premium in the deal.
