When did "petting" become "groping?"I'll look forward to Ford's testimony and what she has to say. Especially wrt to her admission or denial of alcohol consumption. Her yearbook and other clues indicate she and her classmates had a lot of access to alcohol and that alcohol was a big part of their socializing. If Ford admits to drinking alcohol before any contact w somebody like Kavanaugh, I think the water gets a lot more muddy. Most high school girls I knew liked physical contact. First hand holding, then kissing , hugging and what we called "petting." IThis was part of the old fashioned ritual that've called "dating." Petting could get close to, but did not include intercourse. Sober girls would always let you know when they were getting uncomfortable wrt "petting." However, girls who had alcohol exposure became unpredictable. Some became shockingly permissible. If both he and she had alcohol exposure all good reason could disappear. So far, it looks more like a he said, she said incident to me with no obvious criminal activity. But we also know that she may have a political or personal axe to grind. Imv, if she admits to alcohol use at the party her credibility will be suspect, Might be an interesting week! |
